The Brief

Based in Rugeley, Staffordshire,Wychbury Greaves are an accountancy practice with a wealth of knowledge and fantastic customer base that spans across the whole of the UK.

Having relied on reputation alone to gain business their business over the past 20 years, in late 2014 Wychbury Greaves took on their latest Director Lisa and we’re eager to approach businesses within the Staffordshire and West Midlands area.

With business coming from reputation alone, the Wychbury Greaves brand had been neglected over the years. Without a clear brand identity and limited stationery or marketing material Wychbury Greaves approached Creative Roar to come up with fresh new business look that matched their reputation.

From the first meeting it was clear that Wychbury Greaves were an accountancy practice with a difference. With their casual attitude and not a suit in site, it was clear that they needed a brand that stood out and represented them as a team.

With social media becoming at the forefront of their business,Wychbury Greaves required a brand that would work well across all platforms as well as their existing website and new marketing material.

The Goals

• Create a fresh new brand for Wychbury Greaves, that stood out from your everyday accountants and represented their business personality…that wasn’t pink!
• Design a range of business stationery for Wychbury Greaves to use at networking events and in day to day business practice.
• Design a set of social media skins to be used to keep their social media platforms consistent.

How Creative ROAR did it

Working on the Wychbury Greaves project was fantastic, although it was a rebrand for the business it was almost like working with a new business.

Open to ideas and looking to stand out from the market gave our designers at Creative Roar the freedom to really come up with some accountancy logos with a difference.

Giving the client a choice is key here at Creative Roar. With branding we always like to come up with between 3 and 4 concepts for a client to choose from, giving the client the freedom to decided between completely different concepts and the choice to which they feel represents their business the most.

Wychbury Greaves were presented with 3 concepts, a proposed stationery design and a colour scheme. To all of which they were thrilled with…but it was a sporty look with the main focus being an initial icon that Wychbury Greaves really liked.

Following a brand consultation in the Creative Roar studio with Wychbury Greaves, we then confirmed the final brand identity and colour scheme for Wychbury Greaves, which incidentally was Pink!

The Wychbury Greaves brand was decided and we set to work with creating the stationery designs and the social media profiles.

Wychbury Greaves, now have a set of luxurious double sided hot pink stationery along with hot pink social media banners that can be passed on for staff profiles as well as the main Wychbury Greaves profiles.

“We were looking at updating our very old-fashioned logo and business cards Katie from Creative Roar was recommended to us by a client. We had no idea of what we wanted. We knew we wanted something that was not your “typical” accountants logo but apart from that we had no idea. We met with Katie and the Creative Roar team and gave here a quick brief of who we are and what we wanted the new branding to represent.

Katie sent across a number of possible designs, straight away we both agreed on our favourite. We’re so pleased with our new logo, it’s clean , its fresh and it definitely doesn’t look “typical accountants”. Couldn’t recommend Creative Roar and Katie enough, when we wanted to try a few different colour options she was more than happy to meet with us so we could look at the different options.
